Day Spell Book Launch & Signing
with author Ken McKeon and illustrator Ignacio Ercole
Saturday, November 11, 2023
Reading at 2 pm
Reception and signing at 3 pm
Ken McKeon grew up in Southern California, and has been writing poetry most of his almost 80 years. His output has been prodigious: well over a thousand poems to date, and they keep on coming. Day Spell is a modest selection from this immense collection, with poems that touch on Time, Space, and Knowledge.
Day Spell pairs Ken’s evocative imagery with the artistic imagination of Ignacio Ercole. The pairing results in a beautiful, deeply moving volume that will be the highlight of any poetry lover’s bookshelf.
This is a hybrid event that will take place both in person and online. You may enjoy the reading via Zoom; however, to enjoy the reception and have your book signed by the author/illustrator, you will need to attend in person.
Please RSVP below with the ticket type that matches your plans below. It is perfectly fine to change your plans and attend online even if you registered for an in-person ticket (or vice versa) – we just want to get a rough estimate of attendees for purposes of setting up the room and purchasing food for the reception.
Location: 2018 Allston Way, Berkeley, CA
Books will be on sale at the event. You may also purchase a copy of Day Spell online.
